Blackie's Big Adventure
Our Spanish/boer doe named Blackie has a notoriously BAD disposition and sadly every year she has a little boy baby so doesn't get to keep a baby. Hooray and halleujah t

Oh yes, it does make a difference doesn't it? A mama goat wants her baby, and her baby is her own little mini-flock, where SHE is the herd leader.Do you find you have little flocks ( or herds ) within your flock ?
Absolutely about the groups within the whole - we have the Nubie clan, Crybaby's family, Pearl's group and then the floaters who go from group to group (like the Buck - he is the Rodney Dangerfield now - getting NO respect). Poor Blackie only had a sleeping pal when it was bitter cold- most of the time she had to lay by herself in the shelter or shed - so baby will make her feel safer I think. Great observation KathyB - hope you had another lambie I need to check your blog.
Ladies you are fun to listen to. You know some other people in this crazy mixed up world would think we (farmer-type gals) don't have enough to do and ought to get a life. But really we know that the real life, the good life, is playing in poo and watching what our animals do.
LindaSue, I would gladly mail you a cake straight away. But I don't believe that the shock absorbers in a UPS truck are any better than Dirt's truck! But that's not to say I can't wrap my brain about how to send you one, that's for sure! Just not with cream cheese icing!
I truly believe you dear Lanny - and my elastic waist knit pants also believe you - cake is probably not my highest and best nutrition in God's plan to keep me from exploding in the near future - but thank you for offering. LOL - gluttony is it's own reward ya know and I can click off lots of sins with that being high enough on the list to be embarrassing! So did the coyotes visit you?
