Blooms and buzzes

The macro setting on our little point and shoot camera always surprises me. Sometimes when the camera is downloaded nifty pictures appear.
The bee is chowing down on a scabiosa bloom.

Our clematis is always a joy - it looks totally dead all winter and suddenly BAM green leaves, fast growing tendrils and dozens of deep red blooms.

Flowers are blooming, bees a' buzzin' and life is very good today on Buhlaland.

Aren't these little cameras just incredible with what they can do? A far cry from those little 110 cameras of our youth eh? I have yet to purchase my dream camera, a SLR digital to replace my old Pentax K1000 that was originally my dad's, but I am having a great time with this little guy my photography tutor (my young next door neighbor, Tia) turned me on to. It fits in a shirt pocket and takes every picture I have on my blog (unless it is an oldie)

Your clematis is very pretty, do you remember the name? I really like that color. Yes life is very good on your Buhlaland!

Ah Lanny - you've uncovered yet another of my shortcomings - I buy plants on impulse (usually) and often from the "marked down"bins so they don't always have tags as to variety. I've looked at websites and nothing looks quite like our clematis. Sorry! Yes these point and shoot digitals are such fun - I would never in a zillion years take all these pictures and have them developed!Thank you KathyB - I tend to believe at this stage in my life - I'd best bloom where I'm planted before I'm planted for good - (not including return to Heaven type planting - just mortal body)!
