I cannot resist

You cannot beat fall roses for lush beauty - the plants are already spindly and losing leaves due to black spot but these fragrant blossoms are literally 7-8.5 inches across! Wish we had smellovision - they are wonderful. Wanted to share - frost will come to Buhlaland but I am ok with a VERY late light frost. Just had bok choy stirfry for lunch - from our very own tin can garden! Woo hoo!

What variety of rose are these ? I too wish I had smello-vision. The smell of roses remind me of my honeymoon. I wore rose scent ( my favorite at the time ) and we also toured Busch Gardens in Canada, and the rose gardens there are amazing !

My roses are also blooming, thanks to the lovely fall weather we are having. These blooms are better than the summer blooms we had . Go figure.....but my roses are nowhere near as big and beautiful as yours!

Brandi - florist roses are perfect and last a long time - but garden roses beat them for fragrance! Rachel - thank you - God does fantastic work doesn't He? KathyB - these are Peace Roses. My father was in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) in the Air Force and their motto was "Peace is our profession" and I recall a garden of these beauties on every base. Fall roses are the best around here - the plants look awful and straggly but OH these blooms!
