Stormy evening

We didn't get any real damage - wanted to share our intense storm with those of you who like lots of thundery, windy weather wildness. The hailstones are shown in my hand (to give a perspective of size). The downpour from our downspout shows the side garden being well rinsed out.

The storm let up a little but still plenty of rain coming down.
Our driveway looked a little like a waterpark for a half hour or so. After a little while, as always true to His Word, rainbows began to appear in the sky and soon from the west evening light brightened up our sunset.

It was truly awe inspiring on Buhlaland - thank you Lord for your creations.

Brandi - this storm was within an hour of when I posted - we have had a string of pretty good sized storms pop up. Grateful for the rain - sad for the folks either flooding or getting wind damage!
Wish we could share when too much rain comes our way!

You do not want to know what I imagined those hailstones were on first glance! Goes to show that our hail isn't in the same class as yours by any means!

I can't wait for Missy Bet to get up and see your storm. Although you may have an unexpected guest arrive on your doorstep!

The rainbow is a very nice touch from our faithful God. He never forgets to hang up His "decorations" of His declarations.

any garden damage from the hail?

No garden damage - Lanny - I realize what you might have thought but nothing around here needs that "kindest cut". We did lose a goat kid last night - predator - unfortunately it appears to have been a cougar.

I just watched the late news and saw pictures of the hail in Texas, thought of you and then see you did get the big hail ! When I was much younger and lived in Louisiana, we got hail stones the size of softballs. They broke many of our windows and put dents in the car!

I am glad you did not get any damage more than a lot of water passing through!

And , OH NO! Cougars killing your kids! What are you going to do ?

KathyB - no big damage for us from hail storm but in areas north and south they had wind damage and power outages. What will we do? from last night's experience -we won't sleep well, check on the goats a couple of times and have very bad dreams. Predawn check and all were well - our flashlight showed the glowing eyes of something further back into the wooded area but most likely was one of the fox family we have living near by. Not a lot we can do against a big cat - if it happens again DH will sleep during the day and then stay up all night (probably in the pick up we keep parked beside the goat shelter). In the past - it happens once - rarely twice and then the predator goes on --lots of easy prey around here.

Yikes! Sounds like the kind of weather we've been having!

I always love it when you can see a beautiful and peaceful sunset after the storms pass!
