Haven't been blogging - I'd give lots of excuses but I usually tell the truth - been doing some real work around Buhlaland and lots of running around to stores (Lowes, Depot, Costco - source of my delightful crocky shoes and Wally World) . Even took pictures of food I was preparing for Sunday - and it didn't turn out all that yummy so why blog about it? Ok Ok - so have also been playing with dogs, chickens, goats and making do without hot water.
Water heater began to leak (thank you - who ever did it - for the invention of drain pipes - very useful) so we ended up almost 5 days without hot water in the house. Blessed by having a small water heater in workshop bathroom so we trekked back and forth like we were at church camp! you know - without the meetings, crafts and some of the annoying songs.
Now we have hot water, addition is finished on the outside and tomorrow we drywall (I am using the royal we and no Prince William isn't coming to help DH). It is warm, we've had rain and are so blessed here on Buhlaland - we can take hot showers and wash dishes. Woo Hoo - it doesn't sound like much until you can't so easily.

We were really busy today too and I didn't blog....too much going on today....hope you get your hot water heater working again.....

Love the crocs..and I have been there....no hot water, or running water for days at a time, and I am a big appreciator of running hot water! I do not take it for granted. I think running water , from inside your own home beats sliced bread!( who needs sliced bread when you can tear off a big hunk very easily?)

ah Dani - in the midst of my tiredness I wasn't clear - yesterday the plumber came and hooked up new heater - took TWO hot showers yesterday and did 3 loads of laundry - luxury indeed.
KathyB - I think you and I are sisters of different mothers 'cause we both can appreciate things other people just don't get. I'm happy to tear off a hunka hunka tasty love (also known as bread) but hot water - oh my if everyone person in the world got to take a good hot shower - well I think we'd have peace on earth, good will toward one another and less cranky folks all around! You can tell my church camp experiences weren't those "longing for those days" kind of memories. More the "thank God I don't have to do that again"!
Hi Linda - reading back a bit. Looks like you're having lots of goat/chicken fun at your place. Those chicks grow so fast! Looks like they are keeping your doggies entertained, too!

Hey Vickie - just wait until you are out at the farm place full time - you'll find there aren't enough hours in a day during the springtime! Sharilyn - I'd like to zoom in a bit - will take some doing since to get this picture I hold the camera overhead and click away! I love it that the birds make use of goat hair rubbed off on fences and posts around the place.

Hi Lindasue, it sounds like you have your plate full! Love the pics and don't you just love croc shoes? I know what you mean about running hot water. When our children were small, our hot water heater went out in the cold winter months, between paychecks. I was so grateful when we got the new water heater in! Have a good week, blessings,Kathleen
Thank you for that musical interlude in my quest to polish off all five hundred seventy seven items on my google reader that accumulated during my little blog seest---- crumb can't spell it so fine... blog nap. And thank you also for the "couldn't be truer" statement about some of the songs sung at camp among other forms of torture. I picked up some crock knock offs for a buck a piece at the good ol' walley stuff mart. Hope they last the summer, but today they made my socks get wet as even up here on dry land ain't so stinking dry today. Well I better shove off as I have many reads before I sleep. Glad to know everyone is still here.
