Corazon

Squirrels in heaven - you'd better watch out. The rat terrorist of squirrel (and bird) chasers is coming. Had to say goodbye to our dear Corey yesterday - the struggle had become about medications keeping her heart beating and trying to reach a balance of drugs to avoid seizures while still breathing. In other words- it wasn't her life any more. So now it is much quieter in our household, the other little dog, Conan the Destroyer, is very confused and still looking for his pal. But a page has turned and that story ended. It's my blog and this is self indulgence at it's peak - I wanted someplace to acknowledge my 4 legged friend - she loved us, guarded us and made us laugh. Thank you little heart - and we miss you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost many an animal, and will lose many more. It is never easy, but the memories of our years together assuage the pain. I feel for Conan, as it must be really confusing for them. They can't understand where their friend has gone.

Thank you Heather - Conan is spending a lot of time sleeping today but has also gone on a couple of walks with hubby and me to goat pens and beyond,

I'm very sorry that you lost Corey. Rat Terrorists are the best and we are sorry you lost a good friend. Poor Conan.

Squirrels in heaven indeed! Sometimes life just kinda bites I say. I wish Texas was Oregon or Washington was...down there somewhere, we'd jump in the car and invade you with Rat Terrier antics and madness, make a big bowl of something and watch all your pix of Corey. And the girls would sit and smooch Conan on his smoochie little terrorist nose because they understand. We send our love and sympathy instead.

I'm so sorry about Corey, Linda Sue... it's so hard to see them suffer, but it's still so hard to put them down.
((BIG HUG))
I guess all those squirrels who thought they were in Heaven are going to start thinking they're in the other place now! LOL
