Confirmation

Psalm 46:10 (The Message)
8-10 Attention, all! See the marvels of God!
He plants flowers and trees all over the earth,
Bans war from pole to pole,
breaks all the weapons across his knee.
"Step out of the traffic! Take a long,
loving look at me, your High God,
above politics, above everything."

Psalm 46: 10 (NIV 2011) He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

Every month or so the Hubby and I spend some time deciding what to do with our tithe ( we are not actively involved in a local church -we support God's glory in situations to which we feel led). Honestly it is a monthly struggle - so many worthy causes and our sharing of His money can't change the world - can it? We pray for confirmation in our choices - usually it is in a simple manner - we make decisions which we trust are exalting God, helping widows, orphans and the poor, coming alongside those in need. For this month's tithe (not a legalistic slot machine action on our part - God provides everything and we are honored to share a portion) X number of dollars were in account designated tithe and March 26th we received a message from Compassion International (see link on left side of blog page if you are interested) with Xnumber (precisely, exactly) listed as what was needed. If you are not a believer - this all sounds foolish

1 Corinthians 2:14 (Contemporary English Version)
14That's why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish.

This blog post isn't about us - it is about us in relation to the Lord and that makes it ALL good on Buhlaland. Bless y'all - as we are blessed.

Sweet Blessings to you today in Buhl-a-land!

From one sister to another...life is an adventure when being a Christian. Wonderful.

well thank you Deanna - life IS an adventure - being a Christian writes a better ending -
"Real courage embraces the twin realities of current difficulty and
ultimate triumph. Yes, life stinks. But it won’t forever. As one of my
friends likes to say, 'Everything will work out in the end. If it’s not
working out, it’s not the end.' "

I always add - life doesn't necessarily stink - sometimes it feels stinky.

It does make sense. I'm still trying to find a church; went to a new one to me today and those poor folks are pastor less. For whatever reason, their pastor resigned Wed night; I didn't ask, don't want to know and don't need to know in order to pray.
My prayer list is growing; think it's time for me to ask for some miracles -smile-.

Such a wonderful song , especially sung by one of my favorite groups, Selah.

Your post recalls to me the story of Jesus at the temple talking about the Widow's Mite. Her tiny offering was truly big enough, for it was from her heart, so whatever you & Skip decided after much prayer and consideration is perfect and adequate, and I believe it was confirmed to you, yes I do believe!Praise Him.

First off, let me comment on the song you have posted here! It is just one of my all time favorites and just brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. One of those that my grandmother, aunts, and uncles would sing together around the old piano. One of those that I don't remember NOT knowing!!!!

Loved your testimony of your faith, your giving spirit, seeing needs and wanting to fill those needs. Life is so difficult for so many around the world and we do wonder if our little here and there will make any difference at all. But if it makes a difference to ONE, then we have done it for Him!

So glad I stopped by today. I'm always blessed when I come here!
