Randomization is the pattern here

Trying to keep blogging although I still have trouble finding something worthy to say - last day of November 2009 - we had turkey vegetable soup from final chunk of Thanksgiving turkey breast .

Last week we waved a fond and rewarding farewell to 13 of our goats - 2 more to be sold this week. Will have at least 9 or 10 new kids in January or February. We are deliberately trying to keep the herd much smaller. Market isn't that good and we are needing to cut back on expenses (hay round bales are currently $60)

Freeze warning for this week so I cut all the remaining peace rose blossoms - can you believe it - this bowl of fragrant flowers on November 30!?

On the walking website I use Walker Tracker- I participated in a challenge - the reward of the challenge was for each ranking (from least steps to most steps walked during a specific time) to send a home made craft, art work or baked item to the person finishing ahead of you. I was blessed with this nifty knitted dishcloth from a walking pal in Norway! You can see the pattern of a goat's head knit into the cloth. Pretty cool huh?

Next is a picture of my beloved DH - working in his shop to install a new (larger) pet door for our barn cat Moe. The sparks were pretty impressive - Moe didn't stick around for this part.

So that's it - from soup to nuts - or goats to grinders! It is good on Buhlaland - God has blessed us with a beautiful place and the sense to enjoy it! Hope it is good where you are too.

The dish cloth is too pretty to use. Interesting.

I have been short on words as well. I have a lot going on, and sometimes concerned that I miss posting comments here and there!

Loved the impressive sparks. Looked like he was enjoying his work.

Mary - he does enjoy working with metal - even as mundane as cutting a larger spot for the cat to enter and exit the workshop! I seem to be afraid if I start really "talking" much on my blog I'll get carried away - lots going on in other levels in my life - learning even more about trusting in the Lord.

I'm glad he can get out and do a few things...knowing active men, its hard for them to take it easy. we have a few roses left too, although its getting alot colder at night, our backyard doesn't look very good right now...
I can always talk about crafting...and such....been very inspired lately...and the Lord is always so good....

I like the dish cloth and am impressed with your DH's work shop! He is looking healthy.

How many goats will you have after sales and before kids? I wish round bales were that cheap around here.

I know what you mean about "talking" much, but I do enjoy reading your perspective and the way you express yourself.

Just love the dishcloth! Such pretty roses as well! It has turned off cold and damp here as well with a 50% chance of snow. I had to gather the rest of my tomatoes in. Stay warm! blessings,Kathleen

I love the post, I love randomness! Its so.... random.

Nice washcloth, knitted wc are my favorites, for ever so many reasons.

Sparks, sparks are cool, way cool.

We had a good freeze and that day I remembered two things that I had forgot out in my garden. You know if I could make a list and then actually remember where I put the list of things to do...

Don't ever feel like you have nothing to say, Linda Sue- I love hearing about your day-to-day life! So long goats- off to your new home. I can't believe how expensive round bales are where you live... is it because of the drought? I am so thankful we will be able to make our own hay this coming year with Hubby's new (used) equipment... it will be so nice to not have to buy any and maybe even have enough left over to sell. I LOVE the dishcloth! That is beautiful with the goat head in the middle... hope you have a wonderful week, dear.
