Amaryllis not Amarillo although both are in Texas!

So many bloggers are writing about gloomy weather and grey, cloudy day I wanted to share a burst of color. Playing around with the macro setting I got all Georgia O'Keefe with it. Love the intensity of red - hope it brightens your wintry day for a moment. It was a nice day on Buhlaland.

Beautiful reds! Macro lens you say ? Maybe I need one of those. Do you think Santa might bring me a macro lens before Christmas ?

I don't have a DSLR - just a CanonA560 with a builtin macro feature. KathyB - Santa will no doubt bring you anything your heart desires - if you desires it enough and sell more of your beautiful weavings! If I ever grow up or somehow get a shower of money would love a DSLR with lens to actually take more pictures I'd like. I often take 60 pictures and delete 50 of them! My lackaskill is impressive isn't it? Thanks for the positive comments - amaryllis are just a great boost in the spirits during this wintry spell.

Love the Amaryllis pics, macro is a fav of mine too. I clicked on your comment from Pioneer Woman, and I'm so glad I did, you have a very uplifting website. :-) I'll meet you in heaven!
