Upon reflection

You've heard that in movies - some character says "upon reflection, we will be able to offer you a better settlement" or whatever stuffy statement they make. I think the phrase is supposed to make viewers think - doggone - those folks are DEEP.
Not deep here -only reflection is me taking a picture of our water trough in the goat pen about an hour ago. Hiya y'all! How blatantly silly is this? Pretty much all the way up the scale. I think I'm about to make something to eat - not sure what yet but if it turns out well - will be posting recipe and pictures. Rainy almost dreary day - OH word to the wise - don't go walking in the woods in North Texas during prolonged rainy spells . All this rain makes fire ants VERY mobile and more nasty tempered than usual. She speaks the truth here on Buhlaland - and can't wear a shoe for a day or so!

You say silly picture - I say fantastic. Great shot!

Love the rain, but even here in West Texas we are about ready for a break! But pray for those down south! Looks like Ike is hitting there no matter what.

And stay away from the fire ants. They are nasty little boogers, just ask Mattie May. She did a happy dance on top a bed about two months ago! At only two, she can now tell you exactly what a fire ant bed looks like!

Don't cha just HATE those fire ants????? Just when you think you have it under control, this volcano of a mound comes up out of nowhere!!!!! The BIG mounds I can deal with. It's the little ones hidden under a leaf or something that you step on, stop, ponder a beautiful thing, and then. . . . they get ya!!!!

Love the reflection, though!!!!

And yes, my apetite is back! I have a week before the next chemo, so I'm looking up all my favorite recipes and chowin' down!!!!!

Wow, fire ants. I am so glad we do not have fire ants in the Pacific Northwest..we have a lot of ants though.

I love rainy days but the rain here in Washington is a little bit different than the rains of Texas where I understand floods are pretty common. Are you O.K. ? Are the goats cozy in their shelters ?There is something so peaceful about sitting with a goat herd in their shelter as they chew their cud and view the outside world with..oh...so much disinterest. And really, God gives us ( and them ) shelter, food, water, and all we need each day ! KathyB.
