Last day of first half of this year

177 days until Christmas

233 days until my birthday

183 days until 2010

Yep - sunset on the last day of June - the sixth month of our twelve month year. Is your cup half full or half empty? Have the first six months of 2009 been used wisely, wasted, or a combination of being fruitful and being foolish?

Regrets are truly a big waste of time. Very human to regret and pick at the emotional scabs of your heart but totally useless. Once you've repented, confessed and been forgiven - it is gone - there will still be consequences from our bad choices but we don't have to bring them up repeatedly to ourselves or to the Lord.

SOOOO - how's your year going? It is a little bumpy here on Buhlaland but we are reminded with warm beautiful sunsets, the serenades of cicadas and fresh ripe peaches from a neighbor's tree - it is good - very good.

Things have been bumpy for us, too. We even had a death in the family. But overall, things are working out well now. Things are looking up. Thanks for reminding me that we always have things to look forward to-like the 2nd half of this year. It's like a new beginning.

My cup's half full, but when I really think about it, it's overflowing because of all the blessings the Lord has given me!

The years seem to go by faster the older I get, too! Wow, I'm excited about the next 6 months and will try very hard to make good use of my time! Thanks for the reminder, Linda!

Fresh , ripe PEACHES ? ! ? I love fresh, ripe peaches!

I have to admit, I have used my time wisely and wasted....is there anything in-between? And yes, regrets, I can waste a lot of time with those things...I am so thankful that the confession of sins that led to regrets is a gift from God. I am prone to trying to pluck those durn regrets out of the deepest sea to gawk at them now and again....oh oh, regrets for that!

All jesting aside, it is well to remember the riches we have in God no matter our circumstance! Thank-you for the reminder Linda Sue.

The sunset picture is just beautiful! I've always loved sunsets. . .!!!!!

The first half of this year was sooooo full for me, and now, all of a sudden, it's so calm again. Hard to get used to in a way. Isn't it great, though, that His mercies are new every morning and that we get a new beginning every 24 hours????? That's what's so wonderful about sunsets ---- it's over. All the mistakes of the day can be forgiven, and we are promised a new and clean slate again in the morning! So here we go, July! Bring it on!

Things have been bumpy and good at the same time. It is hard to imagine with the heat and fireworks recently but Christmas is not that far away. Thank you for the reminder! Especially since I plan on giving homemade gifts I need to get started!

Great post! Ours has had it's share of bumps, but our cup is definitely half full.

If I keep my focus on things above life is a joy!
