Picture was taken around 6:45 am - so strange to be still dark but it really IS the beginning of autumn this week. What happened to our summer? Thank goodness it is about done with - here in Texas we are still in a drought to break most records. A little rain last week to remind us it CAN rain - refreshing and cooled the earth down enough to get temps out of the triple digits.
Again I'm apologizing for the lack of blog entries - in about 10 days I can reveal what's been absorbing so much time and energy - I think it is good and hope you will also find it interesting - for now - on Buhlaland it is cooler, gooder (? what word is gooder) and blessed beyond belief - we have survived the summer of 2011!

I too noticed the shortening days! And how fast the time is going.
Our dry summer is showing up in the leaves falling off the trees in droves without turning colors!

Oh us too - only color here is brown dried up leaves - poor trees have suffered from the drought.
Getting shorter here, too, in Florida. Some mornings, a little cooler, for which I'm so thankful!!!!! I can't even imagine the drought you have been though. It lasted much shorter here, but we lost many trees because of it. I was never so thankful as when it broke and the rains did come! Love your posts, even when they are short and sweet! Keep them coming!!!
I can't wait to find out! blessings,Kathleen
Yes, I'm getting up in the dark now to get ready for work... Always a bit sad when the days get shorter... Yep, brown dry trees here. Don't think we'll see much autumn color this year. Maybe if we still have some trees left, next fall with be pretty!
Yes to the shortening of days; I know I need to do a ton of stuff but lack the energy. All I'm doing is taking care of Dave and I and, most days, I don't think I'm doing such a good job of that.
It is good to read about Texas getting a bit of rain, every little bit helps, even if it only gives you a bit of encouragement.
I love the smiling kid in your header picture.
Good news from Buhl-a-land, can't wait!
Any blogging you do I'll appreciate, thank-you LindaSue.
I'm excited for the news! Our autumn appears to have held back, which I'm glad for, sometimes it is half over when we get home from The Fair, which is way sad because it is my very favorite time of the year!
