The whole idea of completion - there was work done out of human view - important work which is wonderfully defined as "one of the mysteries". It isn't popular in today's preaching/arguing on the internet to talk about the mysteries of scripture - we are modern enlightened people. Believers in Christ must be able to explain every word every jot and tittle of scripture. Sorry folks - I think mysteries are wonderful -to not know - what a deliciousness in not knowing some things. I know my Savior Lives and He is not only Risen but returning - but it is was the sabbath after He suffered and died - people were waiting. Great sermon by Shadrach Meshach Lockridge - doesn't tell us what happened Saturday but anticipated Sunday was coming. Blessings on y'all this Saturday - whatever you are waiting for - trust and obey and know - your Sunday is coming

Holy Saturday. Holy Mysteries. I totally agree with you, not everything needs to be explained, not everything can be, we are after all, talking about God, who's ways are not our ways.
It is an amazing day to spend in reflection of the Mystery and Mighty. We have entered our Sabbath rest and our new day all at once, all at once for all for ever, through His divine work and grace. May the peace of Christ flood your heart dear friend and may you spend your day in awesome wonder.
Interesting you should bring this up, my husband ad I watched a History Channel show on the death, burial, & resurrection of Jesus. In spite of some of the "doubting Thomases" the show was right on about so much, and the commentators who really are Christians said as much as you. There are scientific descriptions and reasonings, but it does come down ( or UP ) to faith in the end. They summed it up by saying the account is historical, factual, and then there are the many things the disciples experienced and witnessed that were not enlarged upon...yet this is a true story. Go figure, from the History Channel.
Anyway, I hope today is a wonderful day in celebration of our risen Savior there on Buhl-a-Land..as every day in our lives should be!
He Is Risen- thanks Lanny and Kathy - the mysteries are beautiful yet we can cling to the known - He is Risen Indeed.
