OK I wrote repeatedly about the rain so here is my big announcement- it isn't raining now! Going smackdab into 100 degrees this week. Everyone (you can legitimately ask who is this everyone - tv weather people, bloggers and lots of just regular folks) seems to be talking about the Dog Days of Summer - apparently thinking it is about being so hot dogs are wiped out. But - in the search to bring some level of knowledge to my blogging - searched this info out on the internet - astronomy says :This week, just before sunrise, Sirius might again be glimpsed rising just above the southeast horizon for those living in mid-northern latitudes.
At more southerly latitudes, Sirius is already conspicuous, twinkling above the horizon at dawn. Sirius is the brightest star of the constellation Canis Major, the "Greater Dog" in Latin. According to Burnhams Celestial Handbook other names for it include "The Sparkling One" or "The Scorching One." So Sirius is some hot stuff?

Am going to actually blog about food this weekend - having neighbors over for fajitas and salads and cheesecake with fruit. I promise pictures and if anything is worthy - recipes.
It is hot and all is well on Buhlaland!

I never knew that, and I am a bit of an astronomy buff! The internet happens to be working this evening, so I'm able to visit you! Thanks for all the recipes and encouragement.
I'm probably not helping you to stick to your diet, either, with all of this talk of goodies. I really like to eat healthy food, but I enjoy baking so much too.
I'm glad you enjoy Boomama. She IS a hoot! I'd love to meet her (and you!) in real life.
