Ethiopia anyone?

Sophie in Ethiopia the incredible adventures of life for a nice young nurse from Idaho working in Ethiopia - please check out this blog entry. She is only recently back there to live for several years (or as the Lord wills). Her fun loving, generous spirit shows in her writing and honestly - I feel at times like I'm there with her - enjoying the incredible gardens, trying to deal with the sporadic electricity, language barriers and beautiful wonderful people. Please read a few of her blog posts. Sophie is the sister of a wonderful blogger named Mary at Owlhaven .
It is good on Buhlaland to remember - we are the church and God is greater than we can imagine.

Kathleen - Sophie is a real joy to follow - we've emailed some this year and she is just a great girl. The egg bidness is picking up - had two today and one could almost qualify as a large egg. Thanks for coming by - your blog makes me a little homesick sometimes for west Texas - only a little - I don't miss the super dry and dusty!

I am checking it out...it really does put things into perspective, doesn't it, to see the conditions and needs of those in true poverty...and to remind us also that real hope is not in riches or possessions, but in HIM.

KathyB and Lanny - yep we serve a God who will blow our minds if we'll just let Him. Sophie's story is so cool - when she was a child she knew that was what she was supposed to do "be a missionary to Africa" - now how that came to a little girl growing up in Idaho - well God only knows. She went to school to attain skills which would make her useful in Africa. How cool is that? Not just going but taking skills which are useful to the people she is serving. We DO have an amazing Savior.
