Blog insecurity

I'm supposed to be blogging for mental discipline (yeah right?!) and to keep a record of my life so I don't forget how wonderful, challenging, blessed I am in my life every day. BUT I started reading all these other blogs like this or we could consider this and for interesting perspective there is this then of course there is this and realized I am BORING! Creative, Christ glorifying, interesting people are out there blogging. They pay attention to statistics of linkage, create videos, meet fascinating people and write about it. I take pictures of a goat nibbling my finger and hail falling in my backyard. Big whoop huh? So I'm suffering big time blog insecurity - this is NOT a plea for the loyal and wonderful souls who come by here to shore my ego by posting nice comments. I need to work through this myself because I'm allowing my purpose to be diluting, or polluted or convoluted or patooted! SO - visit those big time bloggers to be blogosized or blogenchanced or perhaps even blogrevitalized but drop back by soon and I'll post about going to Walmart or clearing weeds out of the garden.
That's just how we roll here in Buhlaland. (in terms of truth - my next post will be about malaria and Compassion so it will be of significance - not like my foolishness)

Lindasue, You are not boring! I just love coming to visit you and every time you come and visit me, I just cant wait to read your comments. They are always so sweet and full of humor! Your pictures are beautiful, and I love the way you incorporate something from the "Good Book" for us to think upon. Don't get discouraged. Don't compare yourself to other blogs. If we were all alike, then it would be very boring here in blog land. You are one of the best spices that makes the blog soup! Blessings, Kathleen

I appreciate y'all a great deal - again I want to say I wasn't begging for bloglove (although it feels great). Kelsey - your blog has great pictures and your youthful unique look at our world refreshes me every visit. Kathleen - you are just SO skilled at so many things - I am blown away by your needlework and eye for the natural beauty of West Texas. So again - I appreciate you so much - just had to explain one of the reasons I've slacked off on posting.

Aw! I love your goats and cannot wait for the day that I get some myownself!

I went through a similar bloggy personality crisis early on in my tenure (lol)...I finally had to just blog for my own pleasure and quit worrying about being as good as somebody else. The fact of it is that we are all sort of bored with our own lives! So we can't imagine someone else being interested, and yet they are. Really!

Thank you for visiting/coming to play at my blog...WWJB (what would Jesus blog?) could be an interesting series...

;o)

I'll come for pics of goats and hail anytime. And your stories too. LOL I only have a couple people read my blog but I write it mostly for me anyway.

LindaSue- I suffer from "blog envy" at times myself, but then I remember... no one else can tell other people about my life, except for me! And if people think I'm interesting enough to visit my farm every so often, then I'm incredibly flattered and surprised. But always remember- there are people out there who would LOVE to live the kind of simple, uncomplicated lives that you and I do. Maybe that's why they stop in for a visit! I love you and your blog!

Hi I just came to your blog from Fraker Farm and as I'm posting another picture of my flowers I'm thinking some of these people do more in a weekend than I do in a month (How do they do that and why)
I just like walking around our yard and looking at the plants and flowers. Guess what, there are plenty of us hail and animal photographers out there too.

well I'm quite taken with the nice things said here - Jenni - I cannot believe you have the time to visit me! Jenni has a beautiful new baby boy - a real one not one like my Snickers! Again - thank you and I'll muddle through this - it's challenging to know I could have a blog read by lots of people - but then I'd end up with that pride problem so best to be a Popeye about it all (I yam what I yam).

Hey Linda,

I love coming to read your posts because they always make me think. You quote the Scripture so well and that always lifts me up. God made you who you are and that is why you are so special.

I believe we think as ourselves as boring, but there is always someone out there that keeps coming back to read what we wrote!
