Monday Hello

Quick post - here is the side garden - still in process but showing great progress. Trimmed up tree allowing much more sunlight onto plants.

Cactus are blooming - makes the bee population absolutely twitterpated. It is spring on Buhlaland - and that's very good

Sunshine? Warmth? You cut back a tree for more sunshine?Just rub it in LindaSue. According to Steve Pool, my favorite local weather guy, this April will go down as the coldest on record. Also, we have had 2 sunny days this month so far and there are several feet of snow falling in the mountains, and just at freezing temps here purt near every night. Can't even speculate as to the best time to begin planting our vegetable garden . I am still slogging through the cold mud to feed my animals every day.The good news is there will be no water shortage this summer.

Your garden looks like a happy place to sip iced tea after you have put in a satisfactory amount of work, enjoying the sunshine.Yes, you are blessed.

Has your area of Texas been plagued by the drought and fires I see on the news?

Thank you Deanna, Paula and Mildred - yes love this time of year and enjoying it greatly. Yes Lanny - more sunshine on the vegetables in containers - didn't do well last year and we figgered it was partly the light issue (and the lack of care from she who shall remain nameless but initials are LSB) - we are still dreadfully under watered here - yes we've had fires nearby - near enough the smoke has been a problem for Skip's breathing.
